Accelerate Design Decisions for Complex Innovative Powertrains Using Predictive Simulation

May 24

The global regulation context pushes the automotive industry to engineer complex powertrain systems that improve fuel economy while reducing pollutant emissions. This needs to be achieved without compromising desired performance attributes like drivability and comfort. To reduce time to market and design costs whilst meeting customers and regulatory expectations, OEMs and suppliers need to reduce the overall number of physical prototypes, thus accelerating the use of simulation methods to virtually explore and physically validate powertrain components and systems. During this webinar, we’ll introduce the concepts of digital twins and how a multi-level simulation approach can help engineering departments.

Primary Topics:
- Virtually perform powertrain design exploration and optimization from early stage to vehicle integration phase
- Evaluate and balance key performance attributes (fuel economy, emissions, drivability) to meet market and customer expectations
- Bring innovation in areas such as in-cylinder combustion; powertrain thermal management; intake, exhaust and engine actuation; aftertreatment, electrified powertrain and transmission/powertrain integration.
