Chip Drake, producer of Autoline Detroit, pointed out last Thursday evening that like The View, Autoline is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Unlike The View, chances are those who have been guests on John McElroy’s TV and on-line programs probably don’t have quite the fame of the guests of that program, although they are a damn sight more interesting, at least for those of us who have an interest in the auto industry.

To celebrate the 15th, they held a party at the studio. And because the viewers are just as much a part of Autoline as, well, the guests and the panelists, Drake and his colleagues moved the cameras in place, and provided a view of the festivities.

What’s more, they ran a series of guests who were there through the studio set who talked about the industry. So you can see people ranging from Mark Fields, executive vice president and president of the Americas, Ford Motor Co., to Dr. David Cole, chairman emeritus, Center for Automotive Research. . . journalists including Matt DeLorenzo and Paul Eisenstein. And yes, your autofieldblogger has a few minutes on the set, as well.
