While there are some people who are still highly skeptical of the rebound in the auto industry, we can only say “Tut-tut,” and then break loose with a resounding “Tally ho!” or some-such comment as we settle back with watercress sandwiches, clotted cream and scones, and a fresh brew.   Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced this week that it’s achieved record production in its manufacturing plant in Goodwood, West Sussex, England.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced this week that it’s achieved record production in its manufacturing plant in Goodwood, West Sussex, England.

The company is now producing an astonishing 15 cars per day. During the month of June, more than 300 Phantoms and Ghosts were rolled out of the factory.

For the first half of 2010 sales were up nearly 200% compared with 2009 figures.

We are, in a word, gobsmacked.
