On June 11-12, at the Suburbarn Collection Show-place in Novi, Mich., the 16th annual amerimold expo will take place. This year’s event is home to an Exhibit Hall full of the software, additive manufacturing, machine tools, cutting tools, materials, components, hot runners, inspection/measurement, surface treatment, and mold maintenance and repair technologies and services that today’s mold builders need to thrive in this competitive marketplace.
Our Knowledge Center showfloor presentations are returning this year to provide continuing education on current technologies and successful applications. Topics include Mold Design Reimagined; Avoiding Unrealistic Expectations when Implementing Simultaneous Five-Axis; Material Properties and Welding Guidelines for Aluminum Mold Alloys; 3D Printing Offers a Giant Step for Short-Run Injection Molds; and more.
After a successful launch last year, we are committed to our Engineer, Build, Maintain technical conference format, but with a program full of new topics and participants. The conference will focus on strategies to de-risk launches through part/mold simulation, additive manufacturing, conformal cooling and troubleshooting during tool validation; building a better business and workforce through technology deployment; training development and industry involvement; and putting a proactive plan in place and advancing team skills to develop maintenance and decrease repair costs.
Last but not least, we will host our networking party, unveil our 2014 “Top 10 Reasons to Be a Moldmaker” t-shirts and celebrate this year’s Leadtime Leader Awards, sponsored by Progressive Components. You can see full event details at amerimoldexpo.com.
