While there are plenty of good things to say about September sales, we’ll make a point about something that’s amazing: Kia sales.

Not only did the company report its best-ever September, a 18.4% increase over the same period last year, and the 13th straight month of setting monthly sales records, but with the 367,405 units it has sold since January, it has eclipsed its total sales for 2010, 356,268 units, according to Autodata.

And it still has three months to go.

Its sales leader: the Sorento, of which 99,725 have been sold through September.

In 2010, the Sorento became the first vehicle to break the 100,000 sales mark for Kia in the U.S.  Clearly, that record is going to be handily broken this year.

The Sorento, incidentally, is manufactured at Kia’s plant in West Point, Georgia.
