Chrysler Group: Wear It Like You Drive It

It isn’t an exaggeration to say that the sales at Chrysler Group of late have been on fire, especially compared with its performance in 2009.

It isn’t an exaggeration to say that the sales at Chrysler Group of late have been on fire, especially compared with its performance in 2009. With October figures in, the company has increased its year-over-year sales for seven months running. In October, its sales were up a massive 37% compared with ’09.

One particular bright spot is the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sales for the Grand Cherokee were up 291% compared with October ’09. Speaking to this and what’s anticipated, " said Fred Diaz, president and chief executive officer – Ram Truck Brand and lead executive for U.S. Sales, said, “Our new Jeep Grand Cherokee created a consumer buzz that generated showroom traffic and sales. Now we're sparking more consumer excitement as we release images and details about our all-new and significantly-refreshed products arriving in dealerships this quarter."

Given the overall bullishness at Chrysler, and given that there are a whole lot more Chrysler owners out there now than there were last year, we’re wondering whether we might be seeing more drivers carrying the proverbial flag for the brands, or, more specifically, wearing the gear.

You may not be aware of the fact that whether you’re a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mopar, or Ram Truck enthusiast, you can get a wide array of clothing, equipment, and other items (even a Jeep leash and collar for your dog) from company-certified sites.

Some items are admittedly retro:

So perhaps as vehicle sales climb, so too will the proliferation of “lifestyle” products from the company.
