This is not the Audi R8 LMS that we wrote about here.

Rather, it is the car driven by Mac Bronzel, Luca Ludwig, Dennis Rostek/Marcus Winkelhock, who won the GT3 class at the Nūburgring-Nordschleife in the 24 hour race that was finished today. They started 97th. They were not favorites.

And as for the pole-sitter? As Audi itself described Marco Werner's race, he was running second when he was “barged off by another car and had to park his R8 LMS with the rear-left suspension torn off.”

Evidently, starting up front isn't all that advantageous.
