Today is the first day of 2014.

So here is a photo from 1914. It is inside the Ford plant in Highland Park, Michigan.It is the final assembly line for the Ford Model T.

The industry has come a long way in the last 100 years, both in terms of processes and products.

But you can imagine that back then, things seemed pretty advanced.

So as we go into 2014, it is worth keeping things in perspective, because in 2114, there will be a whole new perspective on what we are doing today.
