While this video does not really relate to manufacturing, it certainly does demonstrate precision. Shane and Collin use a series of elaborate mechanisms to place 63 ice cubes into 61 soda glasses. Their setup reminds me of the old Mousetrap game, except on a larger scale.
Notice at the end, after every device has performed flawlessly, the guy on the right fails on his first attempt to simply place a straw in his glass with his hand. Perhaps we could take this as a hint to automate where possible to minimize the chance for human error.
