While dealerships aren’t of particular interest here, Rolls-Royce dealerships aren’t just any dealerships. In fact, there are only 82 on the planet.

It has just opened a new one—the largest in the world—in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It features a 900-m2 showroom. That’s 9,688-ft2. This gives it space to showcase five cars. There are also a coffee bar and a “customer configuration lounge”—no, this is not a nip-tuck venue, but a place where the customer can select trim and color.

What’s interesting to note is that Rolls sold a record 2,711 cars in 2011 (15% of which were sold in the Middle East), so arguably five cars in the showroom is not a trivial bit of inventory.

Also: of the 82 dealerships in the world, eight are based in the Middle East. Clearly it’s where the market is.
