Generally, when you hear about things that have sold really fast, it tends to be something like tickets for a One Direction show. Legions of fans are ready with their credit card numbers and hit the website selling the ducats with a ferocity that would melt the servers in an instant.

Last march, Renault Samsung Motors introduced a small urban crossover vehicle at the Seoul Motor Show. At the reveal of the B-segment vehicle, Laurens van den Acker, Senior Vice President, Design, Renault Group, said, “With this brand new concept, urban crossover, we are bringing customers an attractive, practical and innovative product. Renault Samsung QM3 combines in a single compact vehicle the best of three worlds: the sportiness of an SUV, the convenient comfort of an MPV and the driving pleasure of a hatchback.”

Apparently, the vehicle went over rather well, as it was voted “Best Car of the Show.”

Word out of Korea is that when the vehicle was made available to the public last month, 1,000 customers confirmed their orders within seven minutes of the opening of the order books.
