On Friday, the Obama Administration is expected to propose an increase in fuel efficiency: 54.5 mpg by 2025.

That’s up from the 35.5 mpg that’s mandated for 2016.

Of course, it is better than the 56.2 mpg that had been initially proposed.

But 54.5 mpg? 54.5 mpg!

But Honda is getting ahead of the noise—in a positive way.

Just listen: J

“Honda is proud to have actively worked with the Administration as they developed their proposed national fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions standards. Honda embraces this challenge, which will be good for our customers and for the environment, and we welcome the competition we will have with other automakers that will result from these new standards.” --John Mendel, executive vice president of Sales, American Honda Motor Co. Inc.

Challenges make us stronger. Howling is just noise.
