With more than 1,400 daily visitors to the company headquarters in Thun, Switzerland, United Grinding Group declared this year's Symposium a success.
For the third time, the United Grinding Group held its symposium on the international grinding machine industry from May 21-23 at company headquarters in Thun, Switzerland. The company hosted more than 1,400 visitors daily over the symposium’s 3 days. More than 40 countries were represented by the visitors attending the 154 technical presentations.
A total of 30 machines from the Group were presented at 14 action stations. These included presentations from its product lines, including Blohm, Jung, Studer, Schaudt and Ewag. The program was complemented by 20 lectures given by industry experts.
The combination of technology presentations and innovations, cross-cutting lectures and partner stands offered during the Symposium allowed visitors to experience how the United Grinding Group fulfills its claim to offer its customers more than just the right grinding technology for a given application, according to the company.
In addition to presentations on global trends and innovations, topics relating to increasing efficiency during grinding waas popular, according to the company. Lecture topics ranged from materials in grinding tool development to increasing productivity in the design of grinding processes, as well as the reduction of grinding forces or processing and auxiliary times.
