Design Envy (EN-V, too)

The nominations have been announced for the fourth annual Brit Insurance Design Awards, and it is interesting to note that in the “Transport” category, General Motors three EN-V vehicles—which were designed in Germany (Jiao), Australia (Xiao) and the U.S. (Miao)—one of which appeared on the cover of our print publication (Jiao): --made the short list.

· Vanmoof No. 5 (Vanmoof)

· Yikebike (Grant Ryan)

The winners in each of the seven categories will be announced on February 28, and the overall winner on March 15. The nominations are presently on display at the Design Museum in London, and will be there until August 7.

The last time we saw the EN-Vs and GM’s Dr. Christopher Borroni-Bird, they were proportionately sized. Now either he’s gotten really big or the city transporters really. . . .
