“The Chevrolet EN-V has the potential to reinvent transportation in key markets by creating a new vehicle DNA through the convergence of electrification and connectivity. It provides an ideal solution for petroleum- and emission-free urban transportation that is free from congestion and crashes, and more fun and fashionable than ever before,” according to said Chris Borroni-Bird, GM’s director of Advanced Technology Vehicle Concepts.

Note the “free from congestion and crashes.” This indicates that (1) GM is planning on extensive sensor use in vehicles of this type (e.g., knowing where it is in space and then being able to actively reroute depending on the conditions) and (2) there will be enhancements in vehicle-to-vehicle communications so that car A knows where cars B, C, D. . .Z are, so as not to collide with them.

In addition to which, the next-gen Chevy EN-V will have “new features that customers need, such as climate control, personal storage space and all-weather road condition operation.”

Given that the urban environments where these vehicles will be targeted—environments where there are climactic conditions like monsoons—having HVAC and the ability to drive in the rain are probably good additions.
