Hyundai Motor Co. is preparing to recall 240,000 cars in U.S. snow-belt states whose undercarriage could corrode and affect rear-wheel alignment, Reuters reports.
The campaign covers 2006-2011 model Hyundai Azera sedans and 2006-2010 model Sonata sedans sold in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Separately, Hyundai and its Kia Motors Corp. affiliate are recalling 29,600 crossovers whose right front half axles could crack and fail. All affected vehicles are equipped with 2.4-liter engines and front-wheel drive.
The twin campaigns involve 20,300 of Hyundai’s 2013 model Santa Fe Sport vehicles and 9,300 of Kia’s 2014 model Sorento crossovers.
